Weather is getting pretty warm out there, huh? Yes, it is almost June and Summer has officially started fellow readers. And it would be our esteemed pleasure to help you lay-down your Summer vacation plans.
So buckle-up your seat-belts and get ready for our top picks of this forthcoming season.
The Sunken City – Sahl Hashish:
We’re gonna start you off with something simple, subtle and not too mainstream compared to its counterparts. We all love a good snorkel every ounce in a while; even if you aren’t a huge diving enthusiast, you have to admit it’s a load of fun. Usually tourists go straight to “Sharm El Sheikh” for such activities. But only a few know about “The Sunken City”, discretely located in “Sahl Hashish”.
Centuries ago this historic underwater Pharaonic city was part of Sahl Hashish’s bay. Fortunately, the ruins of the “Sunken City” are still reserved and provide great underwater expeditions for the lucky few that come to see it. It is also visible from the walkway leading to the docks.
The White Desert – Al Farafra Depression:
Up next, we have a special treat for all you thrill seekers. If you get a kick out of using your survival instincts, then the “White Desert” situated in “The Farafra Depression” is your go-to this Summer. With its vast seas of pure white sands, astonishing geographical terrain and expansive history, its definitely a worthy trip to take. Whether you’re into camping, safaris, stargazing or even just want to leave those crowded cities for a while, this would be a smart pick for you.
Sidi Heneish – North Coast:
Easily compared to an oasis in the depths of a steamy desert, “Sidi Heneish” is discretely located at the very end of the North-Coast highway and just 30 minutes from “Marsa Matruh”.
With its Santorini-like atmosphere, Heneish is known for its piercing clear waters, friendly residents and majestic white villas. The villas there are strategically built on different elevations to allow each villa a stunning, panoramic view of the Mediterranean.
We highly recommend you give this place a go. Guaranteed GOOD TIME!!
Soul Kite-Surfing Camp – Ras Sudr:
Coming to a close, our fourth and last suggestion for you this Summer is to try something new, different and affordable, and by different we mean: “Ras Sudr”. I mean, we’re still living our young years so why not live adventurously? Call-up a few friends, pack a light bag and hit the road to this chill spot.
Filled with kite-surfing camps; the best of which and our recommendation is “The Soul Kite-Surfing” camp which is the main attraction there. “Ras Sudr” is a popular but also low-key destination for all surfing, windsurfing and kite-surfing enthusiasts that come from all over Egypt to just let loose and spend some quality time there. If you’re a head-in-the-clouds kind of person, you’ll sure relish this experience.
