Vol III. Ways you can self-heal your depression
D E P R E S S I O N.
IT’S A DISEASE TOO.
This time, it’s a bit different. We are going all the way to where it all started. Where and what triggered where you’re standing today. During your twenties, like mentioned before is a time where you all could become “lost”, where you drift, and sometimes never come back.
YOU L O O S E YOURSELF.
First of all, being depressed, isn’t considered a disease in this country, now is it? Being depressed is lacked, is ignored and is said that it is incurable. Some people think that being depressed is just a short explanation of being a “crazy person”. It’s sickening actually, to not be recognized as a patient trying to survive, every single day of his/her life.
BEFORE YOU LOSE YOURSELF, THINK.
THINK LONG & HARD.
WHY? Why is this disease taking over me? Why am I letting it control me? First, S T O P THINKING! Second, ask yourself this: if you’re here because it was the easiest way out, SHOUT THESE points to yourself out loud as if you’re SCREAMING to someone.
- OWN UP TO YOUR WRONG DOINGS.
- Accept yourself. Even if you can’t, even if it seems like it’s the end of the world [no such thing] WAKE UP!
- BREATHE. PAUSE, BREATHE AGAIN. [Take as much time as you need to calm down]
- The parts of us that you hate, learn to ACCEPT. COMPLETELY & UNCONDITIONALLY. THIS IS WHO YOU ARE, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS HERE, NOW, & FOREVER.
- Give yourself a round of applause for surviving today, for staying alive, once again today.
- ACCEPT WHO YOU ARE. There are things that you might hate about yourself, and that’s ok, you can still change it. You are still young, remember that!
- Things, situations, problems are NOT forever. They won’t stay a problem for the rest of yourself. Wake up, think about it and find any possible way to fix it!
- NO SUCH THING AS FAILURE. NEVER FORGET THAT! If you fail 100 times, get back up a billion.
- Learn to accept the darkness, there is a light trying to peak through, let it shine, for you. HEAL YOURSELF.
- Just don’t forget us people that love you, that care about you and that will always be here for you.
Depression can come in all sorts of forms.
Seems like, our twenties are a bit confusing to say the least. It’s easier to crawl into a dark hole and freeze. It’s easier to hate oneself for no reason, but because we’ve been through some hardships, it tends to get the best of us. Don’t let it get the best of you. There are so many ways you can survive this. One of them is talking. Another is writing. The list could go on, we all have a way to speak when our mouths can’t do the talking.
Give yourself a chance to be heard, show your loved ones that you are wiling to fight this war. The war that was presented by YOU. That will be defeated by, YOU.
SELF HEAL YOURSELF. YOU GOT NO ONE TO SAVE YOU. CHOOSE YOU.
